As a former athlete, Taylor always had a strong desire to help others excel both on and off the field. Taylor became interested in rehabilitation after she was injured in high school and went on to become a certified athletic trainer in college. She discovered POP during an internship at Shriners Hospitals for Children and fell in love with the intersection of movement and health care. Taylor’s most memorable patient is a woman she worked with during one of her internships. The patient’s only goal was to walk up the stadium stairs to see her son play in his first baseball game. By receiving her prosthesis, she was able to climb the stairs and reach her goals, leaving her happier than she could have imagined. Taylor earned her master’s in prosthetics and orthotics from the University of Hartford and is now completing her orthotic residency in Ohio.
