Tatiana Franco

Career inspiration can strike anywhere, at any time. For Tatiana, it was on an 8th grade field trip to a biomedical lab. She saw how medical devices were custom-built and even observed a 3D printing of a hand prosthesis. The experience motivated Tatiana to explore careers aligned with her interests in anatomy, robotics and helping others. When she later came across a WhatIsPOP Instagram post it felt like fate—a career in POP was her calling.

Tatiana is currently pursuing a master of prosthetics and orthotics at the International Institute of Orthotics & Prosthetics. She values the tight-knit POP community and the support she receives from her fellow students, professionals and mentors. Tatiana hopes to help build the POP community, especially with Spanish-speaking professionals and patients.

Tatiana plans to become a certified prosthetist orthotist specializing in pediatric POP devices. She looks forward to helping children grip tighter, stand straighter and walk more easily.
