Silvana Seidita

Silvana is driven by a passion for helping others. Her interest in prosthetics, orthotics and pedorthics began in high school through her involvement with the robotics team, where she became fascinated by the impact of devices on quality of life. This early curiosity led her to pursue a degree in biomedical engineering, with the goal of empowering individuals to lead active, fulfilling lives. To Silvana, POP is the perfect combination of hands-on technical work, clinical creativity, and direct patient care.

She has completed the didactic portion of Baylor College of Medicine's Master’s program in Orthotics and Prosthetics, and has since transitioned into her clinical residency. During her clinical training, Silvana focuses on fostering clear and empathetic communication between patients and their care teams to ensure quality care. One of her most meaningful experiences in the program involved assisting a patient who had long struggled with device fit issues. Through collaboration with their team and a commitment to finding a creative solution, Silvana was able to significantly improve the patient’s comfort and mobility.

Silvana encourages those interested in the field of prosthetics and orthotics to engage with science and engineering clubs, remain curious, and never hesitate to ask questions.
