Michaela played soccer and studied biomedical science in college. She wasn’t sure what career she wanted to pursue but knew she wanted to combine her passions for athletics, science and working with people. Michaela didn’t consider the POP profession until discovering she had a family connection with a technician at a local clinic. She started shadowing and fell in love with the career after seeing a patient with an amputation walk for the first time. Today, Michaela is completing her orthotic and prosthetic residency at Anchor Brace and Limb in Johnson City, Tennessee. She loves how the POP profession is constantly evolving and is looking forward to helping patients find devices that fit their preferences and lifestyles.
