Michael looks forward to graduating with a master’s in orthotics and prosthetics in the spring of 2025. He initially pictured himself as a doctor but switched from the pre-medical track after developing an interest in biophysics. The more he learned about how the nervous system communicates with the body, the more he wanted to explore a career where he could make devices that assist with this process.
One of the clinicians Michael worked with during a graduate school rotation introduced him to the Colorado Rapids Amputee Soccer Team, which piqued his interest in working with para -athletes. He continues volunteering with organizations supporting para-athletes and hopes to remain involved throughout his career.
Michael looks forward to helping other students learn more about the POP profession earlier in their academic careers.
