Michael served in the U.S. Navy and is now a certified prosthetist orthotist (CPO) working for the Department of Veterans Affairs. When he was in the Navy, he worked on aircraft carriers and developed a passion for working with his hands. As a former personal trainer, he has always been interested in the human body and how it moves. POP provided the perfect opportunity to tap into his interests in health, fitness and hands-on creating. Michael tore his ACL as a teenager, and rehabilitative therapy was critical to helping him regain his mobility, return to being functional and serve as an active member of the military. He loves POP because it allows him to play that role for others and help his patients get back to what they love doing most.
