Having almost lost her leg as a child, Megan has known about POP from an early age. However, it wasn’t until she saw a poster about POP in high school that she thought about it as a career. The poster hung where her school’s health and engineering hallways met. The image of that intersection stuck with her, and POP’s mixture of medicine, manufacturing and design remains one of her favorite things about the field. Megan studied biomedical science in college and worked as a technician in a POP lab for several years before deciding to go back to school. She is currently a certified prosthetist orthotist (CPO) in Oregon, loves working with kids and looks forward to helping families like hers navigate their POP journeys.
