Liv Nuzzo

Liv’s POP journey began after a visit to YOU! The Experience, a museum exhibit featuring interactive displays on the human body, including prostheses. There, she learned about a mountain climber living with limb loss and was inspired by his adaptability and resilience.

What seemed like an ordinary school field trip kick-started Liv’s future in POP. She began her career as a prosthetic technician.

“After five years learning alongside veteran professionals, I knew I wanted to continue this creative and hands-on work,” said Liv. “But I realized I longed to work directly with patients and be a part of their rehabilitation journey.”

This desire to become patient-facing pushed her to enroll in Northwestern University’s prosthetics & orthotics master’s program, with future plans to become a certified prosthetist orthotist (CPO).

As a CPO, Liv hopes to help all patient populations improve their mobility and reach their goals.
