Leslie is a recent graduate of Northwestern University's Master of Prosthetics and Orthotics program and is currently completing her residency. Her POP journey began during clinical rounds in undergrad when receiving O&P exposure at an inpatient hospital. Leslie, a first generation Mexican-American and Spanish speaker, helps people get the care they need by breaking down communication barriers between patients and providers. Her passion for POP and helping people who need it most has taken her around the country and world, including a trip to Guatemala, where she helped people without access to care regain basic function and range of motion. Inspired by her own family’s struggles with the health care system, she is passionate about improving the quality of life for people needing POP services, especially those from historically excluded communities.
