Kelsey has a background in engineering, but she wanted a career that not only incorporated her love of design but also allowed her to work directly with people. When a friend suggested POP, Kelsey found a clinic where she could shadow a POP professional. The first patient Kelsey saw hadn’t been able to walk for three years. Seeing him take his first steps after being fitted with a prosthesis cemented in her mind that POP was the path for her. She is now a certified prosthetist orthotist (CPO) at a clinic in Wichita, Kansas that has an on-site fabrication lab where she can utilize her design skills. For Kelsey, her career in POP is the perfect combination of everything she loves—design, problem-solving and helping others.
