Kailene’s parents—both physical therapist assistants—inspired her to pursue a career in healthcare. Her POP journey began with a simple Google search, hoping to find a career path related to, but different than, physical therapy. Her search led her to POP, which combines patient care with hands-on work to build and shape custom POP devices. After shadowing at a local O&P clinic, Kailene knew she had found her passion.
Kailene is pursuing her masters of prosthetics & orthotics at Northwestern University. She looks forward to working with pediatric patients as a certified prosthetist orthotist to improve their mobility and independence with the devices she creates.
As a POP Ambassador, she is eager to expose more high school and college students to POP so they can discover the most exciting healthcare career they may not know about (yet).
