Jacalyn is a certified prosthetist orthotist (CPO) in New Jersey who is driven by the relationships she builds with her patients. Jacalyn’s father had a bilateral amputation and having the perspective of a family member inspired her to join the POP profession so she could help other people facing the same challenges. With a background in both mechanical engineering and exercise science, Jacalyn was drawn to the connections she made during her first POP technician role because she liked learning new things and collaborating with her patients. To share her enthusiasm for POP and inspire others as she was by her own father, Jacalyn is now pivoting from the clinic to educating others on the importance of POP research.
