Graci discovered POP as a junior in college and learned that this field offered a special mix of science, art and interactivity that wasn’t available in other STEM professions. She began her career seeing patients in a clinic as a certified prosthetist orthotist. Through her work, she realized there wasn’t enough research that included the voices of people with limb loss and limb difference. Her curiosity led her to work on the research she is most passionate about. Many may imagine a white coat and lab when thinking of research, but Graci’s favorite part about the work she does is that it is human-based and allows her to interact with people. Now she can help more patients than ever while diving deeper into the topics that interest her most.
