Devon Thompson

Devon knew he wanted to pursue prosthetics and orthotics even as a kid when he was treated at Shriners Hospitals for Children for a nerve condition. Seeing the impact of POP professionals in his life made him want to give back to other kids facing similar challenges. Devon studied biomedical engineering in college and started shadowing at a POP clinic, which confirmed his professional dreams. He loves working with his hands, tapping into his engineering background and using his personal POP experience to connect with patients. Devon recently earned his master’s in orthotics and prosthetics from California State University – Dominguez Hills. He looks forward to finishing his training and helping improve the lives of his future patients.

There are so many different ways to solve a problem – that’s what I love about POP!
