Claire Nichols

After discussing potential career paths with her neighbor, who works as a prosthetist orthotist, and her sister, who works in physical therapy, Claire decided to pursue the patient-centered aspects of a POP career. With 100 volunteer hours now under her belt, Claire is more excited about POP with every new learning experience.

Claire found a mentor during her first shadowing experience, who inspired her to pour her whole self into her POP journey. She recalls the incredible experience of helping a patient receive his first prosthesis as the moment she knew that a career in POP was for her.

Claire looks forward to sharing her love of the profession with other aspiring POP professionals. As she continues her education journey, she hopes to learn more about the pediatric side of POP.

Working with patients has always seemed like the best thing ever. Every POP experience I’ve had has confirmed that this is what I want to do.
