Anthony Reino

Anthony discovered POP on social media and decided to ask his stepdad, a pedorthist, if he could shadow at his clinic. What started as a few shadowing days during his senior year of high school transformed into a full-time job working on orthotic devices. Anthony got a taste of how orthotic devices are designed, built and fit to improve mobility and was hungry for more.

Anthony is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics at East Tennessee State University (ETSU). He has clinical, technical and leadership experience gained from hundreds of clinical hours, attending the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists Annual Meeting and serving as vice president of ETSU’s Pre-O&P Club.

Anthony’s favorite POP moment was watching a young patient go from being unable to walk to skating full-speed in a hockey game with the support of custom leg braces. He hopes to use his passion for fabrication and emerging technologies, such as osseointegration, to help patients lead more active and independent lives.
