Amy is a certified prosthetist orthotist (CPO) working in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She always knew she wanted to do something mechanical with her hands, so she majored in biomedical engineering. After shadowing a POP professional, she realized she could combine her mechanical interests with patient interaction. Now, she works primarily with pediatric patients and appreciates how humbling and rewarding her job is. In addition to seeing patients in the office, she sees pediatric patients at various clinics alongside local physicians and physical therapists. By collaborating directly with local medical providers, she helps her patients reach their POP goals.
