Allison is a certified prosthetist orthotist (CPO) and clinical education manager in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a biomedical engineering major, Allison knew she wanted to explore careers in the engineering field but wanted to do something that was more ‘hands-on.’ She was introduced to POP when her college advisor recommended she pursue a shadowing opportunity at a clinic. Allison now focuses on her role as a clinician advocate and educator, where she gets to teach others on the importance of the profession. In her previous role, she valued being a key player on the patient care team and how she was able to customize each patient’s experience with a needs-based fit and treatment plan.
