Allie has worked in several different settings within the POP profession, ranging from the clinic to the lab; from data analysis to now academia. As a certified prosthetist orthotist (CPO) in Savannah, Georgia with a background in biomedical engineering, Allie found her niche working with pediatric patients and digging into unique conditions, such as scoliosis. She grew to love the profession after finding out how far POP extended: not only could she experience patient interaction, but the field allowed her to be fully hands-on when creating devices. As a faculty lecturer at Northwestern University, Allie takes pride in advocating for patient education and ensuring the next generation of POP professionals are equipped to succeed.
