One of Alix’s first jobs as an emergency medical technician taught her how to provide care in various scenarios. The hardest part of her work was not knowing what happened to her patients after they left the ambulance, so she searched for a career that allowed her to play a more significant role in her patients’ recovery.
Alix quickly fell in love with POP. She enjoys learning about preliminary assessments, fabrication, fitting and patient follow-ups. Alix enthusiastically embraces every task within the POP profession as she continues her education. Her favorite part of POP is the opportunity to collaborate with her peers.
Alix is completing her master’s in prosthetics and orthotics from Northwestern University. She looks forward to applying her skills to help others regain their independence.
