Adina LaBrie

Adina was introduced to POP as a child when she was fitted for an orthotic brace to help manage her scoliosis. She had a team of orthotic clinicians throughout her childhood and admired the unique care and support they provided. Her experience inspired her to pursue a career in POP so she can improve mobility and quality of life for others.

Adina is pursuing her master’s in prosthetics and orthotics at Northwestern University. She enjoys learning about upper limb prostheses and exploring new innovations such as myoelectric devices, which use sensors to detect electrical impulses on the residual limb and convert them into a response from the prosthetic device. She is eager to continue learning the best approaches and techniques to better serve the pediatric scoliosis community and give back for the exceptional care she received.

Adina is excited about her future as a certified prosthetist orthotist and looks forward to restoring the mobility of children, young adults and veterans. She is motivated to share her love for POP and mentor the future generation of POP professionals after she graduates.
