Abby earned her bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Utah where she began researching and developing innovative rehabilitative technologies before completing a combined research-track residency at Gillette Children's.

Abby has a background in biomedical engineering and has a passion for the arts. Her research involves developing and validating new rehabilitative technologies. She finds POP to be a fascinating combination of her love for medicine, creativity and care. Abby likes that POP allows her to participate in both research and patient care, exploring cutting-edge innovations in the lab and seeing the direct impact of the profession while caring for patients in the clinic.

Today, Abby is a prosthetist-orthotist at OrthoPediatrics Specialty Bracing and hopes to help others discover the POP profession that continues to inspire her every day.
