Eddie got his first taste of POP while volunteering at a summer camp for kids with disabilities. He was immediately fascinated by the different kinds of prosthetic devices kids used. Eddie studied biomedical engineering as an undergrad and chose the POP field because it allowed him to use his technical skills while maintaining personal connections. Today, Eddie is a certified prosthetist orthotist (CPO) and specializing in pediatric prosthetics in Dallas, where he connects with his patients on a personal level and develops prosthetic devices to help them get back to their best lives. Eddie also loves mentoring up-and-coming POP students through his clinic’s residency program. When he’s not working with patients or teaching students, he’s working on finding new ways to incorporate cutting-edge technology into his work.
