Kendal Coldren

Kendal learned about POP in middle school when a peer underwent an above-the-knee amputation. Her classmate’s resilience and determination to return to school, sports and daily life inspired Kendal. She saw that POP devices not only restore mobility but also foster confidence, comfort and joy.

As an undergrad, Kendal studied public health and researched barriers that limit access to care for people with lower limb loss and limb differences. She credits her ongoing research to deepening her understanding of how POP devices empower people to participate more fully in daily life through greater mobility, dignity and inclusion.

This work inspired Kendal to pursue her Masters of Prosthetics & Orthotics at Northwestern University.
