Victoria’s POP journey was motivated by a personal experience. She witnessed her grandmother suffer a stroke and face limited access to needed care. Seeing her grandmother never once receive care from a certified orthotist despite needing orthotic devices to recover, inspired Victoria to pursue a career in POP. She aims to help patients like her grandmother. 

She is currently pursuing a master’s in orthotics and prosthetics at California State University Dominguez Hills and was connected to WhatIsPOP by fellow ambassador and program instructor, Mark Cromer, CPO. She especially enjoys studying the nature, causes and progression of disease, and is excited to learn more about how treatment plans are developed for specific diseases and conditions that lead to limb loss and limb difference.
