Natalie always wanted to lend a helping hand, and now she gets to design them. Drawing on her experience as a Division I track runner, she brings a unique perspective to improving mobility. She enjoys translating movement into device design to maximize performance, comfort and injury prevention during her gait analysis courses at Kennesaw State University.
Her passion for the profession was fueled through her school’s POP club. Shadowing at the Ottobock Mobility Clinic further strengthened her interest as she witnessed patients regain their confidence. She also learned the importance of raising awareness for the profession and advocating to improve access to life-changing care.
Building on these formative experiences, Natalie plans to make an impact as a certified prosthetist orthotist through leadership, research, advocacy and outreach that advances the profession. She hopes to one day work with Paralympic athletes and other individuals who want to return to high levels of activity and reach new goals.
