Kevin Amidon

Kevin was first exposed to individuals living with limb loss and mobility challenges as a child. He was drawn to the technology, creativity and problem-solving behind every prosthetic and orthotic device, as well as the way well-designed care could restore individual’s confidence, function and independence.

While working as a full-time prosthetic and orthotic technician, Kevin was accepted into Northwestern University’s master’s program in prosthetics and orthotics. During his time there, he served as vice president of the program’s student organization, an experience that strengthened his passion for advocacy, leadership and education within the profession.

Kevin plans to become a certified prosthetist orthotist with a strong interest in pediatric care. He hopes to be a visible and engaged leader in POP while helping raise awareness of the profession and inspire the next generation to explore a career in POP.
